"What do you want from me?" she cried out.
He smirked before clutching her hair in his deadly tight grip. "I want you to be the first thing I touch in the morning and the last thing I taste at night. I want your damn glossy pink pussy lips to crave for my attention. Only mine!" he whispered near her ear, his hot minty breath tickling her skin as he licked her earlobe before ripping her clothes off her body...
Look Inside:
"The mansion felt suffocating, all leather and shadows, as I paced the chilly floor of his bedroom—my damn jail cell. My wrists still throbbed from the ropes he’d tied me with yesterday, purple marks blooming like some twisted tattoo. I hated him. Pietro D’Angelo. The asshole who ripped me out of my life, away from Nana, and stuck me in this fancy hellhole. But what pissed me off more was the way my stomach flipped every time I pictured his hands on me—rough, demanding, and way too alive.
The door swung open, and there he was, filling it up like a storm about to hit. His white shirt was splattered with blood, probably fresh from whatever messed-up shit he’d been doing, and those blue eyes zeroed in on me like I was his next meal. He didn’t say a word, just came at me, boots thumping loud, every step making my chest tighten.
“Back off,” I snapped, sharper than I meant, stumbling back until my legs hit the bed. I was in this stupid silk slip Emily had left me with—barely covering my thighs—and I hated how it made me feel naked under his stare.
Pietro grinned, that cocky little twist of his mouth that screamed trouble. “You don’t call the shots here, amore.” His voice was low, gravelly, with that Italian edge that messed with my head. He stopped right in front of me, way too close, smelling like mint, smoke, and blood—a combo that hit me hard. “You’re mine. You’ll figure that out soon.”
“Go to hell,” I shot back, shoving his chest. He didn’t even flinch—just grabbed my wrists with one hand, pinning them over my head as he pushed me down onto the bed. The mattress sank under him, and I hated how my breath caught, how my skin got hot even though I wanted to punch him.
“Keep pushing me,” he said, his lips brushing my ear, warm and way too close. “It just makes me want you more.” His other hand slid down my side, gripping my hip hard enough to sting. I squirmed, but it only shoved me tighter against him, my chest brushing his, that thin silk doing nothing to hide how my body was reacting.
“Then just kill me already,” I said, glaring up at him, my brown eyes locked on his icy blues. “Get it over with, you psycho.”
He laughed, deep and dark, and damn it, my heart sped up. “Nah, I’m not killing you, sweetheart.” His hand slipped under the slip, rough fingers sliding up my thigh, stopping just short of where I was starting to feel it, even though I hated myself for it. “I’m gonna break you down. Bit by bit. Till you’re begging for me.”
“Never,” I muttered, but it came out shaky, and his grin got wider, like he knew he was getting to me.
“Then why’s your heart racing?” he teased, his thumb grazing the inside of my thigh, creeping higher, too damn close. I bit my lip to keep quiet, and his eyes dropped to it, darkening. “You hate me, but your body’s not on the same page. You’re shaking, already wet for me, aren’t you?”
“Stop it,” I choked out, but it sounded more like I was begging, and I wanted to kick myself. His hand froze, but he didn’t pull back, just stayed there, testing me, waiting for me to crack. And fuck, part of me wanted to—wanted to feel that wild, scary rush only he could give.
He shifted, nudging my legs apart with his knee, settling between them as he pressed closer. I could feel him—hard as hell—through his jeans, and a little sound slipped out before I could stop it. “There it is,” he said, voice rough, his lips skimming my jaw, then my neck, teeth scraping just enough to make me arch up. “Give in, Alessa. Let me have you.”
I was losing it, drowning in the heat and the danger, my fight slipping away with every touch. My hands, still pinned, twitched in his grip, and he let go just enough for me to pull free. I should’ve shoved him off, bolted, anything—but instead, I grabbed his hair, yanking him down as his mouth slammed into mine. It was rough, messy, all teeth and tongue, and I kissed him back like I could make him pay for it.
He groaned, loud and raw, his hand finally sliding up, cupping me through the silk, and I moaned—too loud, too needy—as his fingers hit right where I was dying for it. “Shit, you’re soaked,” he muttered, pulling back to watch me fall apart, his thumb moving slow and mean. “Say it. Tell me you want me.”
“No way,” I gasped, but my hips moved on their own, chasing that edge he was dragging me toward. He laughed, low and dirty, and slipped a finger under the silk, sliding inside me with a twist that made my head spin.
“Liar,” he growled, adding another, filling me up as I tightened around him, my nails clawing his shoulders. “You’re mine, Alessa. Always have been.” I was so close, about to lose it, when a loud knock banged on the door.
Pietro stopped cold, head snapping up, eyes narrowing as Vitale’s voice cut through—sharp and rushed. “Boss, trouble. Mattia’s guys hit the east warehouse. It’s a mess.”
The heat flipped to fury fast, and Pietro yanked his hand away, leaving me breathless and wrecked. He stood, swearing under his breath as he adjusted himself, then snatched his gun off the nightstand. “Stay put,” he barked, all business now, but his eyes lingered on me, dark and heavy with unfinished business.
The door slammed shut, and I flopped back, heart pounding, stuck between relief and this messed-up ache I couldn’t shake. He’d almost had me—almost broke me—and I’d almost let him. But as faint gunshots popped off somewhere in the mansion, it hit me: this wasn’t just about us anymore.
Mattia was out there, and if Pietro couldn’t handle him, we might both be screwed."
